【Entrance/Living room】

-The door lock is hard to turn

Principal cause(s): Dirt, rust, and deterioration of the keyhole and/or key
Repair method: Door lock cylinder replacement
Prevention/troubleshooting methods you can do: Try cleaning the keyhole with a vacuum cleaner, etc., and if that doesn’t improve the situation, try using a *dedicated lubricant.
*Please look for a product labeled “Lubricante para cilindro de llave/cerradura” or similar. Powder type (Polvo) is also available.

-Difficulty/uncomfortableness to open/close the door

Principal cause(s): Deterioration of the door sills (bottom of the door) due to humidity
Repair method: Replacement of the damaged door sills
Prevention/troubleshooting methods you can do: frequent ventilation

-Difficulty/uncomfortableness to open/close the roller shade, or it’s broken

Principal cause(s): You’re pulling its chain in a diagonal manner
Repair method: Replacement of its internal part, or the whole shade (depends on its condition)
Prevention/troubleshooting methods you can do: Pull its chain downwards vertically

【Kitchen and bathroom】

-The refrigerator does not close properly/opens by itself

Principal cause(s): Deterioration of its door gasket (rubber)
Repair method: Replacement of the gasket
Prevention/troubleshooting methods you can do: Removing dirt and mold from gaskets

-Water leaks from the refrigerator

Principal cause(s): Clogged hoses, internal failures, worn gaskets, temperature changes for leaving the door opened for a long time or power outages, etc.
Repair method: (varies depending on its cause)
Prevention/troubleshooting methods you can do: Place a towel underneath to prevent other defects

-Water leaks from the base of the faucet

Principal cause(s): Deterioration of the faucet
Repair method: Replacement of the faucet
Prevention/troubleshooting methods you can do: Refrain from using the damaged faucet as much as possible and turn off its main valves for hot and cold water. (If you are unable to turn them off by yourself, please contact the reception on the first floor.)

-Water leaks under the sink

Principal cause1: Loosened screws
Repair method: Re-tightening the screws in the area where the leak was found

Principal cause 2: Gap above the sink
Repair method: Sealing the gap with silicone
*Please refrain from using the sink for 3 hours after applying the silicone.
Prevention/troubleshooting methods you can do: Refrain from using the damaged sink as much as possible and turn off its valves for hot and cold water. (If you are unable to turn them off by yourself, please contact the reception on the first floor.)

-Shower’s water pressure is weak

Principal cause(s): accumulated limescale
Repair method: Shower head replacement
Prevention/troubleshooting methods you can do: Regularly clean your shower head

-Water leaks from dishwasher

Principal cause(s): drain crogs, deterioration of hoses, etc.
Repair method: (varies depending on its cause)
Prevention/troubleshooting methods you can do: use dish detergent for dishwashers, use special salt for hard water (called sal ablandadora, sal para lavavajillas, etc.)
